Happy Chinese New Year
Jan. 30th, 2006 | 01:38 pm
I'm still very much updating almost solely in my blog, but just this once... I do plan to check LiveJournal more often for things like friends' updates and cute pictures of Colin Firth.
Very much dreading my return to school. Perhaps I will spontaneously combust upon arrival at Logan? *sigh* Just a month and a half before I come home again, this time for a brief Spring Break. How will I live once I can no longer afford to take an entire month off for vacation? Maybe I'll invent the next paper clip.

Sing Me Something New
Jun. 22nd, 2004 | 09:47 pm
I probably met some 15 people today, all of whom told me "you're so adventurous" when I told them that I just came here with my luggage and rented a random person's room. But when it comes down to it, what's so adventurous about that? Every important step in life takes a great leap of faith of some kind. My leap only involved believing that my landlords weren't serial killers.
What's so adventurous about that?

Thursday Evening, Boring Boring Boring
Jun. 17th, 2004 | 05:55 pm
So, I spent 3 hours in useless meetings today. I'd like to leave, but apparently our group is going out to dinner to celebrate old members leaving and new ones joining. As long as my boss doesn't try to get me drunk, it'll be all good.
The great thing about this whole internship deal is that I do get lots of time to surf the web and read the news. The unfortunate thing is that I have to pretend to actually be doing something useful for most of the day because otherwise people laugh at me. *sigh*

*sniff*

Leaving tomorrow morning! Apparently, there's this whole responsibility thing that people speak of. Annoyances. Shhh, let's pretend that I can stay here and be a little girl reading my books and listening to music forever. I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid...

Commitment Issues
Jan. 31st, 2004 | 05:12 pm
Apparently, I just can't settle down with one journal. :) Here's my New Journal. I installed WordPress
and hosted it on my own domain. Yay! Everyone come visit my new home!
Perhaps, if I'm really fickle, I'll still update here. But since the start of term is Tuesday, I doubt I'll have time for 4 journals. If I don't see you again... good-bye my love!

Superbowl Stress-ness
Jan. 30th, 2004 | 11:23 am
Ok, I know, I always complain about this, but seriously, I think I've been on New House Exec for less than a month, really... and I already think people are gimpy and generally useless.
I don't want to be mean about it, but most people are unmotivated, and thoroughly unorganised. Things that should work under normal circumstances do not work in New House. Why?
So we have this Superbowl party on Sunday and I get this intense impression that I will be the only person there. Yum. At least all the food are belong to me. :)

Pants
Jan. 29th, 2004 | 12:50 pm
So yesterday, I accomplished very little, really.
- Bought pants at Express for $5.99. Best deal since my high school days! I still can't beat Maria though. She always manages to get jeans for literally 2 dollars! How do you do that?
- Bought that freaking expensive book for my Cell Biology class... Hopefully, it won't be too bad. It sounds rather fun, actually. Sick, I know.
- Discovered that I really don't want to go on a Junior year exchange to University of Cambridge, even though that was what got me interested in MIT in the first place. Sad, isn't it? Apparently the Biology dept at MIT is really stingy when it comes to transferring credits. Big meanies!

Depressing
Jan. 28th, 2004 | 10:59 am
Decided to stop being a bum and to start reading the New York Times again. Unfortunately, I felt myself drawn to the depressing piece detailing the stories of Cambodian girls sold into sexual slavery. Somehow, that made me want to read Memoirs of a Geisha...
*yawn* I should go do something. Grey skies always make me sleepy.

Mousie!
Jan. 27th, 2004 | 03:17 pm
It's so sad... I think I just stepped on a mouse. Delicious, I know. I hadn't even seen the mice that supposedly live in our kitchen until this one died at my feet. Now I'm going to have bad luck for 12 years for killing my own kind. *sigh*

Decision
Jan. 27th, 2004 | 01:08 pm
So here's my decision: I might actually keep up this journal, but only bit posts... stupid boring things in my life. Not unlike my diaryland... just not quite as integrated into my webpage as the other one. Sound good? Good.

Ooh ooh

Amazing. Yet another journal service for Amy to play on. As if that were necessary! Anyway, *love*
